Rebecca Holden

Rebecca Holden (born June 12, 1958) is an American actress and singer.
==Early life and career==
While studying voice and piano, Holden was discovered in New York City by an agency and started appearing on magazine covers and did commercials for such companies as Breck Shampoo, Ivory Soap, Dentyne, Kelloggs, Chevrolet, Gillette, Playtex, Arrid, and Seven Up. She moved to Hollywood and her first appearance on TV was a guest spot on ''Three's Company'', but it wasn't until 1983 that she got her break starring on the 1982 TV series ''Knight Rider'' as April Curtis during the show's second season, from 1983 to 1984.〔
After Holden left ''Knight Rider'', she appeared in movies and had more guest appearances on TV shows, including ''Love Boat'', ''Magnum, P.I.'', ''Matt Houston'', ''Cheers'', ''Night Court'', ''Taxi'', ''Remington Steele'', ''Quincy'', and ''TJ Hooker''. Holden starred on the soap opera ''General Hospital'' as Elena Cosgrove in 1987.
Holden charted two singles for TRA-Star Records in 1989: "The Truth Doesn't Always Rhyme" and "License to Steal". She recorded the album ''The Highway Runs Both Ways'' for Curb Records and a self-titled album for BMG Europe.

She was co-host of the short-lived TNN dance show ''Dancin' at the Hot Spots'' in 1993. She continued to tour the globe with her music, and serve as an emcee and performer for various charitable and corporate events as well as for military and veterans affairs.
In 2009, Holden portrayed the character, Beth, in the movie adaptation of ''The Book of Ruth: Journey of Faith''.〔

In 2013, Holden released a new single, "Dreams Come True". The duet was recorded in August 2014 with Tony LeBron and produced by Rudy Perez of BullsEye Studios in Miami. The album is being released on Silver Blue / Summit Records.
